Although I have 2 years left on my current 4 year term, I have decided to run a write-in campaign for District 4 to benefit our school this November. We did not receive anyone interested in running in this district for the vacant board seat and there will be noone on the ballat come voting day. If I receive enough write-in votes, I can fill the open seat for district 4 and resign from my current at large position. This would open/ allow any potentially interested person the ability to fill that seat, without the constraints of living in the respective district. They would only need to live within the boundry of the CCACSD as a whole.This thought/ plan has all been cleared with the Johnson County auditor and was derived out of necessity. With a little creativity of our board and administration, we have the best interest of our community, school and students at the forefront of this process. I would love your support this November.

A few voting notes to share after some inquires I have received:
- If you live in the CCACSD, you may vote for ALL of the open seats, not just the ones to the assigned area in which you live
-If you live in the CCACSD and do not have any children in school, you still may vote in the board election. All eligible voters in the district may vote.

One week from today, October 24 at 6PM, the public is invited to a School Board Candidate Forum at the High School Performing Art Center.

It is your chance to learn about the candidates and be educated about the school board candidates on the November 7 election. Each candidate will have the opportunity to answer the the questions.
