This week Mrs. Lyskiewicz' class reviewed multiplication properties with a cookie decorating contest. We designed cookies based on the properties and the choices we made for the toppings. We celebrated today with making cookie arrays, designing our final cookie for the contest, having the contest, and then seeing who could build the tallest cookie tower.

Our 6th Graders were excited to write letters wishing our Cadet Teacher Daniel Urbina and the John Glenn Cross Country team good luck this weekend at Sectionals and congrats on their Conference Championship!

A big thank you to the John Glenn Education Foundation and the North Liberty Elementary PTO for sponsoring the Silly Safari visit to school this past week. The children loved the animals and we had a great turnout in the evenings for our families to see the animals too!

Our North Liberty 5th and 6th graders, as well as 6th Graders from Walkerton Elementary, were invited to write letters to Veterans who will be taking part in an Honor Flight Bus Trip to Washington DC! Their letters will be delivered to the Veterans as they make their journey to DC! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

The 6th grade volleyball team celebrated their season with a family vs the girls game AND a Notre Dame volleyball game! The girls got to be part of the tunnel, the National Anthem, meet some of the players and get autographs!

Picture Retake Day is OCTOBER 23. If your child was absent, or if you aren't happy with their pictures, send their package back and we will get their picture re-done! Order forms are in the office.

Firefighter Bush and Firefighter Hendee came to visit Kindergarten on Thursday for a Fire Safety/Community Helpers presentation! They taught us what it is like to be a firefighter, reviewed fire safety topics, and let us try on their gear!
