The North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce is holding its North Little Rock Youth Leadership program, which is open to high school juniors.

The program aims to inspire students to invest in their community and envision a future in North Little Rock. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the city’s opportunities while developing the confidence and skills to become active, engaged citizens. The deadline to submit the online application is September 16.

Spanish translators are needed for parent-teacher conferences. Translators will be paid $20 per hour from 12:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17.

Heading to Charging Wildcat Stadium for an upcoming Varsity football game? Please review our updated Stadium & Student ID policies below so entry at the gates goes smoothly for everyone!

NLR HOME SIDE

NLR Students (Grades 9–12 Only): Reserved exclusively for North Little Rock High School students.

ID Required: Students MUST present their school-issued ID at the gate—even if entering with a parent or guardian.

VISITORS SIDE

Visiting Team Students (Grades 9–12): MUST present their school-issued ID to gain entry.

Non-Participating School Students: Students from schools other than the two playing MUST be accompanied by an adult and enter/remain on the visitor side.

Students Without ID: Can only enter when accompanied by an adult and MUST enter and stay on the visitor side for the entire game.

GENERAL STUDENT RULES

Middle & Elementary School (Grades K–8): ALL students 8th grade and below MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times throughout the stadium.

The Theatre Arts Department extends a special thank you to the high school students who volunteered their summer break to move props and costumes from Ole Main to the high school campus.

They are the following: Paxton Bowsman, Beatrice Tucker, Anna Mooney, Harrison Self, Storee Ginn, Elisha Rodgers, Zoey Jones, and Mallory Brewer

Despite extreme heat, these students worked tirelessly and provided invaluable support to complete the relocation.

Wildcat Nation, it’s time to kick off the season together! Due to extreme heat, we are moving the event INDOORS to stay cool and safe! ☀️➡️❄️

Join us as we introduce our student-athletes and coaches, celebrate our school spirit, listen to your Charging Wildcat Band and get ready for an amazing year!

📅 Date: Monday, August 17th

⏰ Time: 6:00 PM (Team Introductions)

📍 NEW Location: NLR High School Arena (201 W. 22nd St.)

🎟️ Entry / Donations:

Entry Fee: $5.50 Donation (Optional / Not Required)

Team Donations: We are still accepting bottled water, Gatorade, and snacks for our athletes! Please drop off any donations at the arena entrance when you arrive.

Bring your family, bring your friends, let's pack the arena, and show our Wildcat Pride in the AC!
