AR ESGR Arkansas ESGR is a state committee for Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve(ESGR).

ESGR is a Department of Defense agency that seeks to promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees. We recognize outstanding support, increase awareness of the law, and resolve conflicts through mediation.

On July 22nd, at Uniti Headquarters in Little Rock, Chief People Officer, Jennifer Ragsdale, signed a Statement of Support representing all Uniti offices throughout the company. ESGR Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator Richard Green presented the SOS for Ms Ragsdale to sign on behalf of the company. Several Uniti employees who currently serve where also in attendance for the signing.

ESGR Volunteer Ret COL Tom Anderson recently presented a prestigious Patriot Award to Mr. Tom Grumbles, President and CEO of First Service Bank in Greenbrier. Mr. Grumbles was nominated by Daniel Langford, an AGR service member with the ARNG. Daniel's wife, Destiny, works at the Greenbrier branch. Daniel nominated Mr. Grumbles for his support of his wife and their three sons while he was in school and away on deployment. Mr. Grumbles stated that he is always actively looking to hire more service member employees. Additionally, Mr. Grumbles also started a non-profit called Operation Red, White and Brave that supports veterans throughout the state. Mr. Brooks was nominated by co-worker and AR Army National Guardsman E-6 Griffin Hudgins. Thank you AT&T and Mr. Brooks for your unwavering support for the National Guard and Reserve. We All Serve!

The ESGR Patriot Award recognizes supportive employers of National Guard and Reservemembers. This award is designed to honor supervisors and bosses who provide exceptional support to their employees who serve in the military. Nominations can be made by service members or their family members.

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve volunteer COL (ret) Tom Anderson was at the Saline County Courthouse Monday to present two Patriot Awards. One was to James Harris and one was to Bud Fleming. These bailiffs were nominated by Aaron Sample of the Navy Reserve. ESGR is part of the U.S. Department of the Secretary of Defense and the Patriot Award is presented to individuals that go above and beyond to support our Guard and Reserve service members. The awards also included a dual flag lapel pin. To honor those patriots a number of the courthouse employees attended the presentation to include Saline County Judge, Matt Brumley. The honor was extra special coming only 5 days before our country's 250th birthday celebration. A Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve will be signed and prominently displayed in the courthouse.

Kenneth Crisp, CEO of Superior Lawn Care of Jonesboro, was recently presented the "My Boss is A Patriot" award by NE AR ESGR Area Chair Dr. Gil Fowler. Crisp was nominated by E-4 Dustin Pierce who says "Mr. Crisp is a Navy veteran who takes great care of his employees and is an outstanding Patriot."

AR ESGR Volunteer COL (ret) Tom Anderson recently presented a Patriot Award to Jacob Hale of North Star EMS of Searcy. Jacob was nominated by Ethan Graham, who participated in the presentation. June 23rd, AR ESGR Volunteer COL (ret) Tom Anderson presented a Patriot Award to Mark McNay of SMC Packaging, a division of Green Bay Packaging, at their plant in Conway, AR. Mr. McNay is president of the SMC Packaging Division. He was nominated by Captain Jimmy Toal, US Navy Reserve who also is GM/VP of the facility.
