On 11 July 2021, the 489th held a Change of Command Ceremony at Camp Robinson. Presiding over the ceremony was the 420th Engineer Brigade commander, COL R. Smith, with MAJ Tillotson, battalion XO, acting as the Commander of Troops. The ceremony was lead in the traditions of engineers for our Outgoing commander LTC J. Waldrop, and incoming commander LTC M. Gill and his wife Kristina.

Prayer conducted by Chaplain Butler.
Narrated by MSG Etherton.
