Understanding the benefits can help you make informed decisions, but it should never leave you feeling guilty. Your ability or decision to breastfeed does not define the parent you are. You deserve support, whatever feeding looks like for your family. 🤍

My biggest flex? Knowing the content I make is reaching the exact audience I make it for!

Becoming a mother made me question how a society that talks so much about family values could leave women with so little support when they become mothers. So much is expected of us, yet resources are limited.

I wanted to be part of changing that.

What began with postpartum care has grown into a comprehensive business supporting parents through pregnancy, birth, feeding, newborn care, recovery, and sleep.

Have you ever had a gut feeling or knew something but you didn’t know how or why you knew it? There’s really something to that.⁣
⁣
Pregnancy literally reshapes the brain — increasing sensitivity in areas tied to empathy, protection, and emotional attunement. Your nervous system becomes more responsive to your baby’s cues. Oxytocin sharpens perception. The amygdala becomes more alert.⁣
⁣
You’re not overthinking.⁣
You’re neurologically primed.⁣
⁣
Intuition is rapid pattern recognition — your brain processing subtle shifts before you can put words to them.⁣

Today I had the privilege of returning to my old stomping grounds at Cal State University Long Beach to speak with students about career paths and success.

I double majored in psychology and women’s studies, and when I graduated, I had no idea what I was going to do. I had a lot of heart, a lot of fight, and a strong belief that what I’d studied mattered. I just didn’t know how to turn it into a career.

I spent years in the corporate world, but the work I kept coming back to was supporting women. I worked with anti-trafficking organizations, domestic violence victim services, and women’s shelters, and advocated for maternal health and reproductive rights.

Then I became a mom and saw firsthand how much support is missing for families as they enter parenthood. I knew I wanted to help change that, so I built a business around giving new parents the care and support they deserve.

Speaking to students today reminded me how uncertain I felt when I was in their seats. I couldn’t have predicted this path, but the work I do now is deeply connected to what mattered to me then. I’m honored every day that I get to make a difference for families in our community while continuing to advocate for inclusive care, equal rights, and support for all families.

Some of the most important work we do has nothing to do with the baby.

It’s noticing that she hasn’t eaten. It’s washing the bottles without being asked. It’s hearing the same worry for the fourth time and answering it like it’s the first.

Being let into someone’s home during the hardest, softest weeks of their life is a privilege. Not a job description.

To every doula, night nurse, lactation consultant and postpartum professional doing this quietly and well: the families you’ve supported may not remember every shift. But they will remember how you made them feel in a season they felt like they were failing.
