THE SOUTH MARKET STREET BRIDGE IS OFFICIALLY OPEN!

After nearly 9 months of construction, the barricades are down, and traffic can once again travel South Market Street.

A HUGE thank you for your patience over the last nine months. We know road closures and detours aren't easy, and we appreciate everyone hanging in there while this important project was completed.

South Market Street is OPEN—drive on through!

And yes… we definitely think #2 looks better.

Sewer Rate Update | Town Council Meeting Tonight

The North Manchester Town Council will consider the final reading of the proposed sewer rate increases at tonight’s Town Council meeting.

If approved, customers will see:
• Phase One reflected on the October 2026 utility bill
• Phase Two reflected on the August 2027 utility bill

SOMETHING NEW IS COMING TO NORTH MANCHESTER!

Get ready for Trick or Treat on Main Street, a brand-new ALL AGES Halloween event created to bring our community together for a night of costumes, candy, activities, and a little spooky-season fun!

And don’t worry... Fright Night and traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating are NOT going anywhere!

Trick or Treat on Main Street is simply another chance for kids, teens, college students, adults, families, and friends to throw on a costume, head downtown, and enjoy Halloween together.

We’re working on some fun surprises and activities to make the evening something everyone can enjoy, whether you’re 5, 15, 25, or 85.

The County Highway Dept has given a tentative opening date for the South Market bridge to be on 9/11. Subcontractor scheduling will determine if that date gets adjusted earlier or moved back.

This Wednesday, 8/26/26, Gaunt Asphalt will be milling E. 4th Street and Strauss Provimi Road in preparation for repaving. Expect some minor traffic delays, but the streets should remain open. Avoid parking cars on E. 4th St during the daytime until the paving is complete.
