Over the past few months, Jordyn Leininger, Fellowship Intern, and Michael Dierckman, Wabash County Development Corporation Intern, have contributed their time, talents, and energy to a wide variety of projects across our organizations. From helping behind the scenes to stepping in wherever needed, they approached every task with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Internships are meant to provide students with real-world experience, but the best ones become a two-way exchange. While Jordyn and Michael gained insight into community development and managing programs/operations they also brought fresh perspectives, new ideas, and enthusiasm that made our work better.

One of the greatest rewards of hosting interns in the Wabash County Fellowship Program is watching their growth happen in real time. We have had the privilege of seeing both Jordyn and Michael take on new challenges, build confidence, and develop skills in our community that will serve them well long after this summer.

As they head back for their senior year, we are grateful for the time we shared with them, and we are excited to see where their paths lead next. We have no doubt that they will continue to make a difference wherever they go.

Thank you, Jordyn and Michael, for being part of our team this summer, the Community Foundation of Wabash County won't be quite the same without you.

We're proud to be part of the Canal Street Artist Collective, a collaborative effort that will help reimagine historic downtown properties and build on the momentum taking place across Wabash County.
