✨Roofs, electrical upgrades & plumbing
✨Windows, doors, insulation & A/C
✨ADA improvements like grab bars & railings

📌Applicants must:
✔️Own and occupy a home in North Miami
✔️Be Homestead Tax Exempt
✔️Be current on mortgage, property taxes & insurance
✔️ Must not have outstanding code or utility billing liens
✔️Meet HUD income limits

Applications will be available October 1, 2026, at the Housing & Social Services Department, 12300 NE 8th Ave, North Miami, FL 33161.

Last night at the City of North Miami Council Meeting, we had the privilege of recognizing three remarkable individuals for their contributions to our community.

I was honored to give each of them their flowers tonight, with the support of the City Council.

Ignacio “Al” Palacios received a Proclamation.

Beatrice Belris received a Commendation after her heroic actions last week when a vehicle crashed into our city hall building. Beatrice stepped in and helped save a resident’s life. She is truly a hero in her own right, and we are grateful for her courage and quick response.

Tim Mooney of WastePro received the Unsung Hero Award in recognition of his service and contributions to our community.

The night was about giving people their flowers and recognizing those who make a difference in the lives of others. Congratulations to each of our honorees. North Miami sees you, celebrates you, and appreciates you.

The City of North Miami is proud to announce the upcoming Extended Service Hours. This initiative, sponsored by Vice Mayor Kassandra Timothe, MPA, will occur Wednesday, August 26, 2026, and takes place once a month.

The following City departments will offer extended service hours from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Let’s break ground! I had the opportunity to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the NE 131st Street Pedestrian Bridge, an exciting infrastructure project taking place in District 2 and spearheaded by Councilwoman Mary Estimé-Irvin.

With more than $3 million in funding, this project represents an important investment in pedestrian safety, accessibility, infrastructure, and greater connectivity between our neighborhoods.

The bridge is anticipated to be completed by May 17, 2027, and I look forward to seeing this project come to life and serve our residents for years to come.
Building bridges is about more than infrastructure. It is about connecting people and strengthening community.
