🇺🇸 9/11 Memorial Ceremony • New Location and Time 🇺🇸

The community is invited to come together on Friday, September 11, to remember the lives lost and honor the heroes of September 11, 2001, during the annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony, presented by the North Myrtle Beach Lions Club.

This year’s ceremony will be held at a new location and time, beginning at 1 PM at the Memorial at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex.

The ceremony will provide an opportunity for our community to come together in remembrance; honoring the lives lost on September 11, recognizing the courage and sacrifice of our first responders, and reflecting on the spirit of unity that followed.

The program will include music and moments of reflection as the community gathers to ensure that the lives, sacrifices, and acts of courage from that day are never forgotten.

In addition to the ceremony, members of the North Myrtle Beach Lions Club will continue their tradition of holding American flags along Hwy 17 – Little River Bridge in remembrance of September 11.

The City of North Myrtle Beach and the North Myrtle Beach Lions Club invite residents, visitors, veterans, first responders, and community members to join us for this meaningful observance.

Whether it's hiking, exploring, running, or playing, Biff is happiest when he's on the move and engaging both his body and his brain. He's a very smart pup who enjoys learning and would thrive with enrichment and activities that challenge him. He enjoys frequent trips to the beach and then coming home to play with stuffed toys.

Biff has made friends with other dogs and enjoys rough-and-tumble play, but he can be dog selective at times. Biff is not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home is a must. If you're an active person looking for a loyal adventure buddy with brains and personality, Biff could be your perfect match.

➡The Horseshoe parking lot will close at 2 PM
➡Chairs are not permitted in the Horseshoe prior to 3 PM
➡Main St from Ocean Blvd to McMillan Real Estate will close to traffic beginning at 4:30 PM
➡Designated golf cart parking on Main St will be available beginning at 5 PM; spaces are limited

Help Keep North Myrtle Beach Beautiful 🌊♻️

The 37th Annual Beach Sweep/Creek Sweep is Saturday, September 19! This statewide event is South Carolina’s largest one-day volunteer cleanup effort. Volunteers are needed to clean beach accesses, dunes, marshes, and parks throughout the City.

📍 Register at the Cherry Grove Boat Ramp at 8:30 AM
🧹 Cleanup: 9–11 AM
🧤 Supplies provided
🥪 Food and drinks afterward

Walkers, boaters, and kayakers are welcome. Those helping with the marsh cleanup are encouraged to bring a kayak. This is also a great opportunity for community service hours.

🐾 Pet of the Week 🐾

This beautiful cat has a calm and easygoing personality that makes her a joy to be around. She is affectionate, docile, and simply enjoys being around the people who care for her. Mama Maggie would love nothing more than a cozy spot to relax, plenty of love, and a family who sees just how special she is.

When Mama Maggie arrived, she was missing her left eye. We don't know what happened, but what we do know is that it doesn't slow her down one bit! She gets around just fine and doesn't let her past define her. I spent some time with her and she just craves loving, from head scratches, chin scratches to all around being petted. She is such a sweetheart.
