Smith for 72: Says that so many goods and services cost more right now and even local businesses are changing their pricing models so that people can continue to have goods and services. All of this is a problem that comes from the current party in power. We really do deserve better representation in Kansas.

Matt Smith:

I’ve been quiet since the primary. Not a post. Not a peep.

I’ve spent that time looking at the numbers, listening to people, and…honestly…enjoying a little peace before what comes next.

But things are tough right now.

I’m not merely hearing stories about people struggling. I’m experiencing it firsthand. Despite July’s incredible heat, business was down nearly 50%. We’re down almost 30% for the year and on track for our worst year since we started.

That tells me something: people simply don’t have money to spend.

Everything costs more…groceries, utilities, insurance, housing, healthcare, and nearly everything else families need. As a state legislator, I wouldn’t have the power to control every one of those costs. Anyone promising otherwise isn’t being honest.

But our situation still speaks volumes about the leadership we have, whose interests receive priority, and who finances their campaigns.

Kansans are struggling. Americans are struggling. Farmers, workers, small business owners, parents, and seniors are all feeling the pressure. Here in Newton and throughout District 72, people are working harder just to fall further behind.

So ask yourself a simple question:

Are we safer, freer, and more prosperous than we were?

I believe most people would honestly answer no.

I don’t know whether winning this race will make my own life any easier. It probably won’t. I don’t pretend to know exactly what happens next, either. But I believe the coming months will bring challenges that demand serious, honest leadership.

Our energy problems are real. Threats to our food supply are real. The erosion of privacy and free expression is real. The pressure crushing working families and small businesses is real.

Whatever the current plan is, it isn’t working.

It is time to get engaged…not merely by reacting to headlines, sharing memes, or arguing online, but by learning who represents us, questioning what we’re being told, voting, volunteering, attending meetings, and participating in the process.

This is especially important for younger Kansans. The decisions being made today will shape the jobs available to you, the homes you can afford, the families you can support, and the freedoms you will inherit.

If you want a voice in your future, now is the time to use it.

I’m rested. I’m listening. And I’m ready to get back to work.

If you believe District 72 deserves independent leadership that answers to ordinary people instead of powerful interests, I’m asking for your help. Donate what you can…even $5, $10, or $20 helps us reach more voters and build a campaign capable of competing with big money.

If you cannot donate, sharing this post, volunteering, or simply talking to your neighbors makes a difference too.

Let’s fight for our future together.

Chris Mann is our only saving grace from Kobach. Kobach has run in every office he has becuase he is interested in power, and not the people of Kansas. It’s Kobach’s missions to continually throw these unpopular amendments at us so everyone can be stripped of their voting rights, medical privacy rights and more.

Here Chris Mann explains how he is an absolutely stark contrast from his opponent in that he will get back to the basics and get political noise out of the office.

2022: Chris Mann almost won against Kobach last round, and with the current state of things, where extremism is wrecking the federal level, we have some good momentum to get a REAL KANSAN into power.

Harvey County Voted no with 58% of the county voting NO! This just shows that when people listen to the real issues, we win, we keep our rights and can expand on them.

This gives leverage to candidates walking to and knocking on doors. So many independents out there willing to listen and who are not affiliated to a party.

We thank all volunteers here even if it’s just a like to someone wanting to walk with candidates, it all helps create change !! ❤️

This week we made a post about the signs on S. Kansas. And low and behold they have another side to them!!

This helped so many drivers turn out to remember to vote. And with that we got a win in Harvey Co for vote No!! 58% No, 41% Yes. - nearly a 20% difference in our small county!!

Thanks Stephanie for taking the pics and Bert !!

Happy Birthday to Former Governor John Carlin! I’m grateful for John’s advice and support, and I’m honored to have his endorsement. It’s fitting that his birthday falls on the eve of Election Day - get out and vote YES for Cindy Holscher and NO on the amendment tomorrow!

Spotted in Newton! S. Kansas and today is the last day to go vote! Vote for less crazy candidates on the red side or vote your heart out on the blue side. Today is the day.

Vote No! Because we need public schools funded, we need medical privacy rights secured for our family members who deserve rights and to make their own private medical decisions, we also don’t need more political noise in our courts.

Thanks Bert for all the work you do!
