Pineview Water Systems has notified us of a main break just below 3100 N on 300 E.

They will be doing a night repair tonight, June 11, 2026, beginning at 9 PM to get services restored to homes in the area.

Please see their traffic control plan for detours as it will result in an adjustment to our 450 E road widening detour.

Their plan is to have the road reopened by 7 AM provided they don't run into any unforeseen problems.

Please proceed through residential areas with caution, and at the posted 25 MPH speed limit, to ensure all residents remain safe.

Based on the volume of resident concerns related to heavy truck traffic in the city, our friends at the Weber County Sheriff's Office have come to help. You may see their commercial truck inspector assisting us with enforcement to ensure public safety on our roadways. These inspections have already resulted in the identification of egregious safety violations, mandating that any violator vehicle be sidelined until resolved. Thank you, WCSO, for helping us facilitate commerce while keeping our community safe!

Utah has passed a new electric bike (e-bike) law aimed at improving safety and clarifying rules for riders across the state.

This law will take effect on May 6th, 2026.

As the weather improves, residents will likely see an increase in door-to-door solicitation, as we have already received a number of inquiries regarding the legitimacy of active solicitors. Solicitors must be permitted by the City and permittees must carry and display the issued permit. Currently, there are only 14 individuals permitted across five companies:
- EcoShield Pest Control (expires 7/22/26)
- Connext Fiber (expires 5/15/26)
- TruGreen (expires 5/27/26)
- Southwestern Advantage (expires 5/27/26)
- Gunderson Window Washing (expires 4/15/27)

If a solicitor appears at your door, ask to see the permit. You may report violators to Weber Dispatch via the non-emergency number (801) 395-8221.
