Today at 1:34pm we got a Flock hit on a vehicle that was taken in Cleveland last night during an armed robbery. We had a unit 30 seconds from the Flock hit but out of position to immediately locate the vehicle.

The description and location was broadcast to other units who converged on the area. We have cameras strategically placed throughout the city but this was the only hit we received so we knew it was still in the area. A unit located the vehicle in the parking lot of “Going, Going, Gone” on Great Northern Blvd. Units took up surveillance of the vehicle and observed subjects enter the vehicle. As units converged on the vehicle, the driver immediately attempted to flee and was suppressed by two units. Other units arrived on scene at which time we realized there was an 8 year old child inside the vehicle. After the 8 year old was rescued first, we were able to take two males into custody without further incident.

I am proud of the work we put in today and this is exactly why we come to work every day.

Outstanding job. I am proud of every single one of you that had a part in this today.

Another successful community outreach event was hosted by the North Olmsted Police Department: “Meet Your Neighbors” -featuring handcuffs, mugshots, and several people suddenly remembering they “can explain everything.”
Turns out the only thing getting trafficked faster than bad decisions was excuses.
Huge thanks to the Northeast Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force and our local law enforcement partners working to combat exploitation and human trafficking locally. More than a dozen arrests were made here in North Olmsted.

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — A statewide human trafficking operation conducted this month by dozens of agencies resulted in the arrests of 122 people seeking to buy s*x – including from minors, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced today. “This operation brings us to 1,065 arrests since our statewid...

So we found this dog on 231st. The guys THINK it’s a male but well you know…fur. I know how people are, especially when it comes to dogs. Judge not lest……

Listen, we get it. You’d cut his (presumably) hair. But we don’t know the situation. I have a Belgian Malinois that is the sweetest girl ever. Until you try to cut her nails. I love my life. I don’t want to die for a long time. In order to further that goal, her nails are pretty long. I’m not a bad dog dad. It’s a just that one of my hobbies isn’t bleeding to death.

Bashing the owner won’t help. In fact, without knowing the facts, bashing them won’t matter. We’ll make sure he (we think) is safe. He, (probably), seems healthy and I’m sure he wants to get home. I’m just saying, we don’t bash parents because of their kid’s hair. This dog might just be going through his (we think) hippy phase. Right on, man. Far out.

Anyway, let’s get him (almost sure) home. Call us at 440-777-1234 if you can help.

Let’s just be groovy to each other.

UPDATE: He’s being picked up. Thanks for the help.

HERO…💙

Patrol Officer Ali Sabeiha, of the Elyria Police Department, was presented with the Freedom 250 Hometown Hero Award for his heroism to save a mother and her children from a violent criminal.

On Jan. 21, 2026, Officer Sabeiha was on official duty responding to an armed robbery in Elyria, Ohio. When the pursuit of the suspect’s vehicle ended, the suspect fled on foot. Armed with a firearm, he ran into a residential area where he encountered a mother entering her residence with her four young children. The suspect forcibly entered the home and took the mother hostage at gunpoint.

Despite the danger, and without hesitation or concern for his own safety, Officer Sabeiha rushed into the residence knowing that there were innocent lives at stake. Once inside, he confronted the armed suspect who was actively holding the mother at gunpoint. With exceptional composure, sound judgment, and tactical proficiency, Officer Sabeiha successfully incapacitated the suspect.

“We are grateful for Officer Sabeiha’s actions that day to save a mother and her children from a violent and dangerous criminal. His professionalism in the face of danger is a testament to his unwavering commitment to keep the public safe,” said U.S. Attorney Toepfer. “It is our honor to recognize him as the Hometown Hero that he is, and for his exemplary service to his department and our community.”

🇺🇸 The award commemorates the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America.

The Hometown Hero Award honors the enduring ideals of liberty, service, and civic responsibility. This award is dedicated in recognition of a steadfast commitment to these ideals and an embodiment of the spirit upon which our Nation was founded.
