Last week, we were proud to partner with the West Palm Beach VA Healthcare System to bring valuable resources directly to our local Veterans.

Veterans had the opportunity to connect one-on-one with VA and community organizations, learn more about health care and benefits, receive enrollment assistance, and even schedule their first VA primary care appointment onsite.

A big thank you to all of the organizations and community partners who helped make the event possible, and to Mission BBQ for generously providing lunch!

Most importantly, thank you to every Veteran who joined us. We hope you left with helpful information, new connections, and a better understanding of the resources available to you. 🇺🇸

Before you hit the road in your golf cart, make sure you know the rules! 🛺

Here are a few important safety reminders from the North Palm Beach Police Department:
🔹 Know who can drive: Drivers must be 15+ with a learner’s permit or driver’s license, or 18+ with a valid government-issued ID.
🔹 Buckle up the little ones: Children ages 5 and under must be in a federally approved child restraint device when traveling on a public roadway.
🔹 Everyone needs a seat: No lap riding, standing on the tread platform or hanging off the sides. Every passenger must be seated in a designated seat.
🔹 Driving after dark? Your golf cart must have headlights, brake lights, turn signals and a windshield.
🔹 Don’t drink and drive: DUI and open container laws fully apply to golf carts.
🔹 Follow the rules of the road: Stop signs, turn signals, right-of-way and other traffic laws still apply when you're behind the wheel of a golf cart.

A little preparation and a few simple precautions can help keep everyone safe while enjoying a ride around the Village. Learn more at www.village-npb.org/GolfCartLaw.

Every officer deserves a walk-up song… but we may have let the social media girl make a few last minute changes without telling them 😂🎶

With school starting back up next week, make sure YOU have your walk up song ready too! 🎒 Just remember to take those headphones out when crossing the street, use crosswalks, and always pay attention to your surroundings.

Have a safe and great start to the school year, NPB! 📚

⚠️ Coyote Safety Reminder: Keep Small Pets Close
The North Palm Beach Police Department is reminding residents to take extra precautions with pets following an increase in incidents involving coyotes and small animals in our community.

Please do not leave small pets outside unattended, even in fenced yards. When taking pets outside, stay with them, keep them on a leash when appropriate, and be especially alert during evening, overnight and early morning hours.

Coyotes are part of Florida’s natural environment and may be seen in residential areas. You can help reduce encounters by securing trash, bringing pet food inside, cleaning up fallen fruit and avoiding anything that may attract wildlife to your property. Never intentionally feed coyotes or other wildlife.

If you encounter a coyote, do not run. Keep your distance, make yourself appear large, make loud noises and slowly back away. Keep children close and pick up small pets if it is safe to do so.

If a coyote is acting aggressively or poses an immediate danger, call 911. For questions or concerns about coyotes, residents can contact the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission at 561-625-5122 Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Please help us spread the word and keep our four-legged family members safe.
