City of North Port to host Health Care Exposition

NORTH PORT, FL - The City of North Port’s Economic Development Division will host the North Port Health Care Exposition on Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the George Mullen Community Center

This free event will connect residents with health care providers, educators, and aligned organizations serving North Port and the Southwest Florida region.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about local health care services, workforce pathways, training programs, and career opportunities in the health care industry.

Applications are now open for Teen Court’s 2026–2027 Youth Leadership Team.

The Youth Leadership Team is an opportunity for students to grow as leaders, strengthen their communication and teamwork skills, and help shape the Teen Court experience for youth across Sarasota County.

Interested students can request an application by emailing [email protected] or pick one up at their local court night.

Applications are due Monday, June 1st at midnight. We cannot wait to see the next group of young leaders step forward.

Great news! The YMCA is returning to North Port!! Today we attended a groundbreaking for the King Family Early Learning Center, to be located on King Plastics property off Toledo Blade. Many thanks to Jeff King and his family for donating the land and supporting this project from day 1.
