Award Living Solutions is preparing 3 NEW supported-living homes for 9 NEW clients, and we’re asking our community to help us fill these homes with more than furniture — with comfort, dignity, independence, and a true sense of HOME.

Think about what makes your house feel like home.

🔥🚒 LOOK WHO STOPPED BY! 🚒🔥

We had some very special visitors today! A huge THANK YOU to the Charlotte County Fire Department for spending time with us and giving everyone an awesome, hands-on lesson in fire safety! 🧯

Our group learned important tips for staying safe in an emergency and even got a step-by-step demonstration on how to properly use a fire extinguisher. Learning skills like these helps build confidence, independence, and preparedness—and we had a great time doing it!

❤️ We’re incredibly grateful to our local firefighters and first responders who not only protect our community every day, but also take the time to educate, connect, and make a difference.

Award Living Solutions is GROWING, and we are incredibly excited to announce the opening of 3 NEW Supported Living homes!

That means 9 new clients — 3 individuals in each home — will soon have a place to call home, build independence, create memories, and begin an exciting new chapter.

But we need YOUR HELP to turn these houses into HOMES! 💜

Community outings are about so much more than just getting out into the community — they’re opportunities to learn, grow, explore, and build independence!

Our Award Living Solutions Job Skills LSD4 participants recently took their learning into a real-world environment with a trip to the mall, where they explored different career opportunities and practiced important skills that can help prepare them for future employment.

During the outing, participants focused on:

Observing Job Roles – Watching employees perform everyday responsibilities in retail, food service, customer service, and other businesses.

Spotting Job Opportunities – Looking for “Now Hiring” and “Help Wanted” signs and learning how businesses advertise available positions.

Exploring Career Interests – Discussing different work environments, job responsibilities, and which types of careers match their individual interests.

Building Social Skills – Practicing communication and appropriate social interactions while navigating a busy community environment.

Growing Independence – Becoming more comfortable navigating public spaces, making observations, asking questions, and learning how the workplace operates.

At Award Living Solutions, we believe some of the most valuable lessons happen outside the classroom. Experiences like these give our participants the opportunity to connect what they’re learning with the world around them while building confidence and skills for greater independence.

🎨🐚 Creativity was in full swing at our Daytona ADT Art Class!

Our talented friends recently completed a beautiful shell art project, and we couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out!

Together, they created a wooden frame decorated with seashells and featuring the Award Living Solutions logo right in the center. Each shell helped bring the project to life, making it a wonderful reflection of creativity, teamwork, and the amazing personalities within our Daytona ADT family.

Everyone did an incredible job, and most importantly, they had fun creating something special together!

At Award Living Solutions, activities like these are about so much more than arts and crafts. They’re opportunities to express creativity, build confidence, work together, and make memories along the way.

🚒🔥 A BIG thank you to the Port Charlotte Fire Department for spending time with our ADT participants today! 🔥🚒

Today was filled with excitement, learning, and unforgettable moments as our friends had the opportunity to meet the incredible first responders who work every day to keep our community safe.

From exploring the fire truck and learning about the specialized equipment firefighters use, to asking questions and hearing firsthand what it’s like to serve the community, this visit was both educational and inspiring. Experiences like these help build confidence, encourage curiosity, and strengthen the connection between our participants and the amazing people who make a difference every single day.

We are so grateful to the firefighters of the Port Charlotte Fire Department for taking time out of their busy schedules to share their knowledge, kindness, and passion with us. Your dedication doesn’t go unnoticed, and today you created memories that will last a lifetime.

Lifesaving skills are for everyone. You don’t need a medical background to learn how to help in a critical moment. 🚨💪

Our participants recently took part in a hands-on CPR and life-saving skills class focused on awareness, confidence, and emergency response.

While this was a non-certification class and did not provide an official CPR card, everyone walked away with something powerful: practical knowledge and the confidence to take action when it matters most.

During the session, participants practiced:

❤️ Proper compression techniques using manikins
🚑 How to recognize an emergency
📞 When and how to call for help
🤝 How to provide support until professional responders arrive

These are the kinds of real-world skills that can make a difference in someone’s life.
