OFFICIAL SWEARING-IN CEREMONY! ⚖️👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

Following their recent academy graduation, Probationary Officers Jake Cuddemi and Britney Granados have been officially sworn in!

We hosted this special ceremony to welcome their loved ones into the NPPD family.

It was a wonderful opportunity for their families to see the public safety complex, meet with our command staff, and ask questions as our newest officers begin their careers. Family support is the backbone of law enforcement, and we are honored to share this milestone with them.

Several members of the North Providence Police, along with members of neighboring departments, proudly hit the pavement today for our leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run!

🙌 A huge thank you to everyone who lined the streets and cheered on the runners! Your support and energy mean the world to us and the athletes.

Rhode Island roads will be filled with purpose this week as supporters and law enforcement agencies from across the state come together for the Special Olympics Rhode Island. Several officers from our department will proudly be participating in these meaningful events.

Motorists should expect some temporary traffic delays throughout these events, but also plenty of inspiration, unity, and community spirit as participants travel across the state for an incredible cause. 🎉💙🔥

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEWEST OFFICERS!

The North Providence Police Department is incredibly proud to announce the graduation of our two newest officers from the Rhode Island Municipal Police Training Academy!

After 20 weeks of intense academic, tactical, and physical training, they are officially ready to wear the badge and serve our community.

Probationary Officer Jake Cuddemi – Who was also honored with the prestigious Officer Richard J. Jean-Georges Physical Fitness Award for achieving the highest combined PT scores in his entire recruit class! 🏋️‍♂️💪

What’s Next? Their journey continues! Both officers are now entering their 14-week Field Training and Evaluation Program. During this phase, they will work directly alongside our experienced field training officers to apply and build upon the foundational skills they mastered at the academy.
