The North Reading Health Department and the East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project will be hosting a community public health informative and educational presentation on the biology of mosquitoes and ticks, the diseases that they carry, what is being done to control mosquitoes. The Health Department will also be giving out FREE tick tweezer removal kits.

2025 Seasonal Vaccination Clinics

Vaccination Clinics will be held on Saturday September 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the North Reading Town Hall Gymnasium located at 235 North Street in North Reading, MA and Monday October 20, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Aldersgate Church 235 Park Street, North Reading, MA.

UPDATED: West Nile Virus (WNV) Detected in Mosquitoes Collected in North Reading.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) has informed the Town that a mosquito collected from the Salem Street area has tested positive for West Nile virus. The Town's risk level will remain MODERATE.
East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project will conduct spraying in his area on Tuesday, September 2nd. For more information about this planned spraying, please click here:
