September is Falls Prevention Awareness Month.

To help reduce the chance of falls, older Ohioans should talk with their doctor about their personal risk factors — and join the statewide 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls campaign by adding daily movement to their routine.

We welcomed a special guest for Try It Tuesday—one of our very own center participants, Sue, who shared a taste of her home country of Palestine by preparing homemade dishes using vegetables and herbs grown right in her own garden. 🌿

Tabooleh, baba ghanoush and lentil soup…everything was absolutely delicious!

Afterward, our participants had no problem making a quick transition to celebrate National Banana Split Day! 🍌🍨

A big thank you to Kari Brozic of Brookdale Senior Living for providing the banana splits and all the delicious toppings. What a sweet ending to the afternoon! 💕
