Please join us for our 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony as we pay tribute to the victims, first responders, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

Autumn Fest is coming!

Join us Friday, September 18th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM for an evening of food, entertainment, family activities, and the annual Chili Cook-off.

Back to school means more students are walking, biking, and waiting for the bus.

As a new school year begins, a few extra seconds of caution can make a big difference. Whether you're driving, walking, or biking, help keep our students safe by remembering to:

• Slow down in school zones and obey posted speed limits.
• Stop for school buses when required by law.
• Stay alert and avoid distractions behind the wheel.
• Watch carefully for children at crosswalks and intersections.
• Give yourself a little extra travel time during the morning and afternoon school commute.

You never know what you’ll find at the Fall Flea Market.

Join us Sunday, September 13th from 9 AM to 2 PM for a community favorite filled with vendors and plenty to browse.

Vendor spaces are $30 each, and you can choose your spot online. Vendors must provide their own tables, chairs, and tents.

The Flea Market will be held rain or shine on the Village Commons front lawn and in the Police Station parking lot.

Property owners can get free, one-on-one help with the property tax appeal process today at the Village Commons.

The Cook County Board of Review will host a Property Tax Appeal Workshop where homeowners can speak directly with Board of Review analysts, ask questions about their assessment, and receive help filing an appeal.

Several roads are currently closed due to downed power lines:

• 26th Street: 1st Avenue to Desplaines Avenue
• 23rd Street: 1st Avenue to 14th Street
• 23rd Street near Hainsworth

Please avoid these areas and use alternate routes until the roads can safely reopen. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
