Center Street is closed at the Railroad Crossing due to a broken train. All other Railroad Crossings are open. It is unknown how long before Center Street will re-open, but we will be sure to update you.

What a great turnout for our 2026 Nights Out event! The hot dogs were delicious, there was tons of swag, and there were so many different booths. We are already looking forward to next year.

On a different note, our D.A.R.E. booth is missing a pair of the Fatal Vision 'drunk goggles'. If you got home and found an extra pair of goggles that make it so you can't walk from your back door to your blow-up pool, please let us know! You may call dispatch at 801-298-6000 and one of our officers would be happy to come pick them up, no questions asked. You can also turn them in to the North Salt Lake Police Department. Our building will be open Monday morning at 7:00am.

Are you driving on I-15 and see a reckless driver or a dangerous road hazard? I-15 falls under Utah Highway Patrol's jurisdiction. Call 801-447-8120 to report this.

For life-threatening emergencies, call 9-1-1.

For all other inquiries, such as information on requesting police reports, criminal history checks, SO registration, etc., call our administrative office at 801-335-8650.

UPDATE: The evacuation order has been lifted.

Attention residents:

The emergency alert that just went out to your cell phones pertains to a limited area in West Bountiful. There is no evacuation order for residents in North Salt Lake.

Update: Per West Bountiful City's page: Public Safety Officials ask residents in a limited area near 1100 W and 1400 N (in West Bountiful) to evacuate immediately while they remove nearby explosives.
