The Tazewell Police Department extends our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers to the families, friends, and members of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office following the tragic incident last night.

There are no words that can fully ease the pain experienced by those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty, or the ones who have been injured. We stand alongside the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and the entire law enforcement community during this difficult time, honoring the service, sacrifice, and commitment these deputies made to protecting and serving their community.

We ask our community to keep the families of the fallen deputy, their fellow deputies, and all those affected by this tragedy in your thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks ahead.

Tazewell Police Department is happy to announce the second Pet ID Event. Our first free Pet ID Event was such a huge success, we have had many request another. To make the event more convenient for everyone we will hold this one on a Saturday.

If you cannot bring your pet with you, it is no problem. Come by and complete the paperwork and assure you have a clear photo that you can share with us for the ID.

Tazewell Police Department has had a wonderful week for National Police Appreciation Week. Thank you to everyone who showed appreciation to our department this week. Thank you to Clinch Valley Community Action for pies, Tazewell County Sheriffs Office for the awesome cookout , the children that stopped by for a tour, citizens that brought us flowers, and so much more.
