Mary Alice Demler's follow-up report on the towing suits indicated that they were dismissed due to premature and delayed filings. She had access to all this material but chose not to report anymore information. Notably, her report omitted the New York State Supreme Court judge's own words as recorded in the transcript. This omission is particularly concerning given that the statement was made by a judge, rather than a council member or mayor. Unfortunately, it appears that an unbiased account of the story will not be forthcoming.

First suit in 2024 dismissed. Second in 2025 dismissed.
No lowest bidder, pricing was for charges for service to potential owner and rfp set that price. Both met the ask. No cost to city.
The screen shots are from first lawsuit.

This incident underscores the critical need for these updated tools. Great job to all our first responders and who responded to the scene.
