The Jennings County Drug and Alcohol Task Force works to compile a three year comprehensive plan for substance abuse programs and services in the areas of: prevention and education, treatment and intervention, law enforcement and justice. And updated report is prepared annually to monitor progress towards the goals identified in this plan. The plan is a workable road map for change due to the flex

ibility of emerging trends and the specificity of addressing immediate needs. Summary of the Comprehensive Community Plan:
The Jennings County Drug and Alcohol Task Force identified three main problem areas to be addressed in the coming years.
1) Methamphetamine production, distribution and use are negatively impacting Jennings County residents.
2) Jennings County residents are using, misusing and abusing medicines; legally and fraudulently.
3) Jennings County residents abuse of alcohol, to***co and other illicit drugs.
