Arrest made in July 15, 2026 North Versailles Burger King Shooting:

On July 30, 2026, Detectives from the North Versailles Police Department arrested a 28-year-old male from Braddock, Pennsylvania, charging him with Criminal Attempt Homicide and other offenses related to the shooting that occurred at the Burger King restaurant in North Versailles on July 15, 2026.

Since the incident, our detectives and officers have been working tirelessly to identify those responsible, gather and review evidence, conduct interviews, and build a thorough case. Their dedication and persistence, along with the assistance of our law enforcement partners, resulted in today’s arrest.

We remain committed to holding violent offenders accountable and ensuring the safety of our community.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

At approximately 12:37 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, the North Versailles Police Department responded to a reported shooting incident at the Burger King located at 121 Walmart Drive, North Versailles, Pennsylvania.

Officers and investigators located a vehicle that had sustained damage from gunfire, interviewed multiple witnesses, and reviewed surveillance video from the area as part of the investigation.

All individuals involved in this incident have been identified. At this time, there is no ongoing threat to the public and no current public safety emergency related to this incident.

The investigation remains active. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and when appropriate.

A film production company will be working in the Green Valley area of North Versailles this evening, Friday, June 26.

Residents and motorists may encounter low flying helicopters and temporary road closures on Bowman Avenue, East Pittsburgh McKeesport Boulevard, Westinghouse Avenue and Route 148.

North Versailles Police Officers will be in the area providing support.

UPDATE: 2:49 p.m. Larry Ryan has been located in Cambridge, Ohio by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. He is receiving appropriate medical care, and his family is being notified. We would like to thank the public for sharing this information.

MISSING PERSON - ENDANGERED

The North Versailles Police Department is requesting the assistance of the public with locating 78-year-old Larry Ryan. Mr. Ryan suffers from dementia and other serious medical conditions.

Mr. Ryan left his home in North Versailles this morning, operating a blue Ford Focus bearing PA registration MPY2121.

He contacted his wife during that time and told her that he was lost.

The last known location of the vehicle was in the City of Greensburg at around 12:30 p.m.

Mr. Ryan and his vehicle are entered into NCIC as missing - endangered.

If anyone sees this vehicle or Mr. Ryan, please dial 911.
