🚧 A BIG thank you to our crews! 💧

Yesterday, a large water main break occurred on Sumneytown Pike in Upper Gwynedd Township, resulting in a road closure and some disruption for those who travel through the area.

While we know road closures and water emergencies can be an inconvenience, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work of our NWWA crews who responded quickly and worked tirelessly for more than 18 hours to make the necessary repairs and restore water service.

We’re incredibly proud of the dedication and commitment our employees show, especially during long, challenging emergencies like this one.

Thank you to our crews for keeping our customers’ water flowing, and thank you to our customers and the community for your patience while we worked to get the road and water service back to normal. 💙💧

Happy National Intern Day! 🎉💧🌿

Today, our Water & Wastewater Internship Program (WWIP) interns spent the day giving back to the community by volunteering at Peace Valley Nature Center. Together, they removed invasive plant species and cleared weeds to help protect and restore the local environment.

This project is especially meaningful to us because Lake Galena, located within Peace Valley Park, serves as a reservoir for the drinking water treated at our Forest Park Water Treatment Plant. By helping care for this watershed, our interns are making a positive impact on the very source of the water we provide to our community every day!

The heat doesn’t stop NWWA from keeping the water flowing.

Early this morning crews responded to a water main break and worked quickly to complete the repair before the hottest part of the day. Their hard work helped minimize disruptions and restore normal service!

A big thank you to our field crew for braving the extreme temperatures to keep safe, reliable water service flowing for our community!

Happy Fourth of July! 🎆

To celebrate the holiday, our business office will close today at 2:30 p.m. and will remain closed on Friday, July 3rd. Our crews will remain available to respond to water emergencies.

If you're celebrating this weekend, be sure to look for us in the North Wales Borough Parade and the Tri-Municipal Parade on Saturday! We'll be handing out water and celebrating with our community.
