..WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING
TO 10 AM EST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 6
inches.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Connecticut, western Massachusetts,
and northern and southern Rhode Island.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

The Windham Volunteer Fire Departments are currently responding to multiple calls across the area regarding trees and wires down due to the weather.

⚠️ Community Reminder:
If you are aware of any road closures or hazards that we have not yet posted, please share them in the comments so we can keep everyone informed.

Avoid downed power lines — assume they are live.

Keep a safe distance from fallen trees or branches.

Drive cautiously in affected areas.

* WHAT...West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Connecticut, central, eastern,
northeastern, and western Massachusetts, and northern Rhode Island.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
