Woodstock Fire Department has 21 members. 1 Chief, 2 Deputy Chief's, 2 Captains, 1 Lieutenant, and 15 Firefighters.

Over the past three days Chief Cole and Captain Clark travelled to Ocala Florida to perform an inspection on our new rescue truck. The value of the trip is that any defects noted (there were a few) can be corrected at the factory before the truck is driven up to the dealer for some additional items to be installed and some tools mounted. Thank you to the members who covered town while we were out of the area, stay tuned for more updates on this new piece of apparatus for the Town.

Congratulations are in order for Firefighter Dylan Russell! After completion of a nearly 200 hour course of study, multiple quizzes, didactic and psychomotor exams and a difficult National Registry of EMT exam Firefighter Russell has earned the title of Firefighter / EMT Russell. Thank you for your dedication to personal and professional growth.

The view from the office wasn’t too bad this morning. Our ladder truck gives us 75’ of reach. Sometimes we need that reach up, sometimes out, and sometimes its a combination of up and out. With the 7 new members that have joined us in the past few months you can expect to see the town’s apparatus out and about more as the older members hone their skills and the new members learn how to operate the apparatus.

We are happy for this outcome, truly the best possible given the potential situation. Woodstock companies cleared the scene shortly after arrival.

This afternoon July 29, 2026 at approximately 2:15PM Lincoln Fire was toned for a 6 year old that was stuck on the other side of the river than his family. Chief Weden immediately requested additional resources from Woodstock Fire Department, NH.

Upon arrival, crews located the child sitting on a rock in the middle of the river. A member of Lincoln Fire was able to successfully make it to the child and then carry him back across the river.

We have a challenge for Lincoln Police, Woodstock Police, Lincoln Fire and Linwood Ambulance.
The challenge is over the next month until August 18th have as many members as possible stop by the Lincoln Diner and enjoy delicious food. When your bill comes make a donation to Make a Wish and add your star to the wall. At the end of the month lets see who has the most stars…..

Please stay weather aware today. The heat and humidity will reach oppressive levels. Stat hydrated, take frequent breaks in cool environments. Check in on your neighbors and the elderly.

This afternoon there is the potential for severe weather. Have a plan should dangerous storms approach. In the event of a tornado or strong wind event go to a the lowest level of your building into an interior room without windows and stay low until the storm has passed. Do not drive around barricades and always assume that downed utility lines are electrified.
