East Allen Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps

East Allen Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps A volunteer-led nonprofit 501c3 which formerly provided 911 ambulance service. Because of this, we are now in the process of dissolving the organization.

In June 2023 East Allen Township Board of Supervisors voted to use an outside agency for EMS service. East Allen Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps is one of the only remaining volunteer ambulance stations in the Lehigh Valley area. We are Northampton county EMS station 46. We cover East Allen Township for all 911 EMS calls as well as assisting other stations in neighboring communities. We are alwa

ys looking for new members. Applications can be found at EATVAC.org. Being certified as an EMT is preferred, but there are many options for those without an EMT certification that want to help including as an administrative member.

At this month's school board meeting, EATVAC donated funds to Northwestern Lehigh School District to be used for AEDs, medical equipment, and CPR training in honor of Luke Shimer. Luke was a Northwestern class of 2004 graduate who's life ended tragically after being struck by lightning. We couldn't think of a better way to honor Luke and use our funds to continue EATVAC's mission of saving lives.

We previously posted about the donation to the burn prevention network, Valley Preferred Spirit of Courage Award. This award recognizes first responders who put themselves in harms way to save another life from a fire.
Because of our donation, they invited us to attend the banquet last night. Was humbling to be in a room with so many “heroes“ and quite the honor being recognized for our financial contribution.
We were so wrapped up in the event, we didn’t take a lot of pictures!

Had the privilege of presenting a check to Northampton Fire Dept in the memory of our former members Jim Taylor and Ron Rutman. Two fine men who served their communities well but were taken from us far too young.
