🚔🐾 Officer Feingold and K9 Bob were parked for approximately 30 seconds before Bob called an impromptu meeting about the 9 PM Routine.

Apparently, Bob has some thoughts on crime prevention. Quite a few, actually. 😂

With a recent increase in vehicle burglaries and thefts, Northbrook officers are distributing safety reminders throughout the community.

🔒 Lock your car.
🔑 Bring your keys and valuables inside.
🏠 Close your garage door.

A few simple habits can make a big difference!

Bob may not have thumbs, but he's got a pretty good handle on crime prevention. Be like Bob. Stay on top of your 9 PM Routine. 🐾🔒

🐾 A Pupdate from Chloe: I’m Pawsing into Retirement! 🐾

Hi friends! It’s me, Chloe! ❤️

After more than five years of reporting for duty at the Northbrook Police Department, making more than 700 deployments, and visiting so many of you at schools, senior living communities, and community events around the Village, I have some big news to share. I’ll be retiring from my role as Northbrook’s Therapy K9 at the end of 2026!

I’ve been coming to work on a full-time schedule for the past five years. At 9½ years old (I turn 10 in February!) and with five years of service under my collar (that’s 35 years on the job in dog years!), I think it’s time to hang up my badge, cash in my 401 K-9, and enjoy a little more time for naps, belly rubs, and the things I love most. 🐶

The good news? I won’t be going far! After retirement, I’ll be living where I’ve always lived, at home with Officer Drewes, where I’ll continue getting plenty of love and attention. ❤️

Now, before you worry, I want you to know that I’m not sick! Some of you may remember that I was sick in the past, but that’s not why I’m retiring. I’m just ready to slow down after a very busy career.

And don’t worry, we still have time together! I’ll be around the community through the end of the year, working a reduced schedule and focusing on visits and activities I know and love. So, if you see me out and about, be sure to say hello!

Being Northbrook’s Therapy K9 has been the best job a dog could ask for. Thank you for all the pets, smiles, cuddles, and kindness over the years. I’m so lucky to have been part of this community, and I can’t wait to enjoy these last few months on the job with all of you.

This morning, we had the privilege of celebrating three members of the Northbrook Police Department as they took the next step in their careers. Friends, family, and current and retired members of NPD gathered to celebrate alongside them.

Detective Baiocchi was sworn in as Sergeant, Investigations Sergeant Tadley as Commander, and Investigations Commander Ferguson as Deputy Chief of Technical Services.

We’re proud to celebrate their leadership, dedication, and continued service to the Northbrook community. Please join us in congratulating them on their well-earned promotions! 👏🏻 💙

Today, on National Police Woman Day, we recognize the ten women currently serving with the Northbrook Police Department, as well as those who served before them.

The women of NPD bring a depth of knowledge and experience to our department and contribute each day to our mission and the safety and well-being of the Northbrook community. Their work spans investigations, critical incidents, community partnerships and the everyday interactions at the heart of public service.

Law enforcement asks for long hours, missed moments and a commitment that extends well beyond the uniform. Today, we simply say thank you for their professionalism, their service and all they contribute to the community we are proud to serve.

Happy National Police Woman Day. 💙

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor all those whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and unity shown in the face of tragedy.

We will never forget.
