It was a busy start to the opening day of the Northbrook Farmers Market! Stacy Oliver, our Library Board President, and Arielle Raybuck, our Events Production Manager (both members of the Village's 125th Anniversary Celebration Committee) stayed dry under a literary umbrella.

The Northbrook Farmers Market-IL will be in the Meadow Plaza each Wednesday through October 14 from 7am-1pm.

We’re pleased to announce a new electric mobility scooter for visitors ages 18 and up with mobility needs to use inside the library. The scooter can be checked out at the Welcome Desk with a library card.

To make room for the new mobility scooter, we moved our recycling station (household batteries, eyeglasses, cell phones) inside our west entrance, near the Friends' Bookshop.

Special thanks to Covenant Living's Merry Market (formerly known as the Holly Fair) for its generous donation, which funded the purchase of this important resource. This addition helps make the library even more accessible and welcoming for individuals with temporary or permanent mobility challenges.
