Our Wolves are living the Wescott Way! In the first weeks of school, our principal team Dr. Candela, Mrs. Petersen and Mrs. Stockler have visited all classrooms to discuss the Wescott Way – "Be safe, be caring, be here and ready" – and what following that looks like in spaces like our classrooms, lunch and recess and the hallways. Having this shared understanding helps all students to grow together to be kind and respectful to all!

Maple's Core 8 and algebra students in Ms. Byrne's class have been kicking off the school year by building their problem-solving skills and learning the power of collaboration! Students have been challenged to think creatively, take risks, and work together with activities like solving riddles on vertical dry-erase boards, designing landing gear to help alien friends land safely on Earth, and escaping with Breakout EDU lockboxes. Along the way, students are learning that mistakes are where the thinking happens. Our Mustang mathematicians are embracing risk-taking, trying new things, collaborating with others, and sticking with a problem even when it gets challenging.

Tammaru and a member of our Board of Education for Conversations with the Community on September 24. 🗣💬 The 12 p.m. session will be at our district offices, the 6 p.m. session is virtual. This is an opportunity for all to ask questions and share what is important to you in our schools!
