‼️ QUICK PSA & REMINDER — SNOW EMERGENCIES ‼️

As Winter Storm Fern approaches, it’s critical to understand and follow local Snow Alert Levels issued by counties and emergency officials. These levels are not suggestions — they are put in place to protect lives. Not all counties issue snow emergencies, check with your local sheriff’s office.

🟡 Level 1
Roads may be slick or icy. Use caution if driving and avoid unnecessary travel.

🟠 Level 2
Road conditions are hazardous. Driving is strongly discouraged unless absolutely necessary. Check with your employer before heading out.

🔴 Level 3
Roads are extremely dangerous and closed to non-emergency travel. Do not drive unless it is an emergency.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️
Motorists who are non-essential personnel that traverse roadways during a level 3 snow emergency are subject to citation or arrest. Such violators may be charged with Misconduct During An Emergency by any law enforcement officer.

Why this matters:
Ignoring snow emergency levels puts you, first responders and road crews at serious risk. During Winter Storm Fern, conditions may deteriorate quickly and emergency access must remain open for those who truly need it.

Have a plan now. Stay informed. Stay off the roads when advised. We’ll continue to provide updates as the storm approaches.
