🩸 THAT TIME OF THE MONTH IS HERE. 🩸
This Saturday, Oct 10, 10,000 Drops Craft Distillers and Cry Baby Craig's Hot Sauce are hosting BLOODY FEST from 11a-4p. It's the only brunch where talking about blood is the whole point: Bloody Marys on the table, period equity on the agenda. 🍅🩸

🥓 HUGE Bloody Mary buffet, 11am–4pm
💸 $10 Bloodys
🍕 Pizzeria 201 + 🌭 Underdog Hotdogs
🎶 Live music, games, and Cry Baby Craig's merch
📍 10,000 Drops Craft Distillers, 28 4th St NE, Faribault
👨‍👩‍👧 Open to all ages

Best part: a portion of proceeds supports “Go With The Flow”, CAC's Menstrual Equity Initiative. One in four women in the U.S. can't afford period products, and nobody should have to choose between food and essential care. An easy donation of just $30 lets CAC provide one person's period products for a whole year.
So grab a Bloody and toast to a community where periods aren't scary. 🩸🍹
Good drinks. Good food. Good cause. Period.

Did you know changes to federal SNAP funding could show up on your Rice County property tax bill?

This month on A Place at the Table, we're sitting down with Rice County's Administrator and Deputy Administrator, a statewide hunger policy expert, and CAC's own Food Access Director to unpack what's really happening with SNAP — and why it matters to every one of us, not just the neighbors who rely on it.

Tune in to learn:
🔹 What's actually changing with SNAP, and when
🔹 How a federal funding cut becomes a local cost
🔹 What it means for Rice County's budget — and yours
🔹 How CAC and our community are responding

This isn't about politics. It's about understanding what's ahead for our community, together.

🎧 Thursday, October 1st at 7pm on KYMN Radio — or strean it on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

CAC is proud to be a Minnesota Department of Agriculture Farm to Food Security grantee. We are excited to continue our work of feeding our neighbors AND supporting our local farmers at the same time!

The MDA has awarded $1,295,000 to 22 projects through the first round of the Farm to Food Security Grant. The funded projects will purchase produce, meat, dairy products, eggs, grains and other foods from Minnesota farmers and producers, then distribute that food at no cost through food shelves, meal box programs, and other community efforts.

Thank you to all of our local growers that are contributing to the abundance of produce at the CAC Food Shelves this summer. Whether you are a back-yard gardener or have a large plot, donations big or small make a difference for our community!
