The New Trier School Board Caucus, a non-partisan organization made up of 47 delegates from the township sender districts and 2 students, has slated four candidates for the New Trier District 203 Board of Education. The election will take place April 1, 2025.

The Caucus began meetings in September to select candidates. Slated for the Board of Education are Kimberly Alcantara, current board member, Avik Das, current board member, Sally Tomlinson, current board member and Vice President and Joo Serk Lee, resident of Wilmette.

The NTSB Caucus is making our last call for applicants who are interested in serving on the New Trier School Board, beginning April 2025.

Interested individuals who would like to pursue an endorsement by the Caucus are asked to submit an application no later than THIS Thursday, September 26, 2024. Qualified applicants will be invited to interview before the Caucus to determine whether they will be endorsed as part of the Caucus slate which will appear on the April 1, 2025 consolidated election ballot. Terms on the NTSB School Board are 4 years, and there are 4 Board positions to be filled.

The first interview meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 1. Subsequent interview meetings will be held on Tuesday, October 8, and Wednesday, October 16 depending upon the number of applications received.

The 2024 New Trier School Board Caucus is Looking for Volunteers to Serve as Delegates From Wilmette D39!

The Caucus is a non-partisan group of citizens that was formed in 1954 by a non-partisan political group to interview, vet and endorse candidates for the New Trier Township High School District 203 Board of Education. The Caucus is composed of 47 volunteer delegates from all of the New Trier feeder districts. The Caucus’s consistent recruitment of high-quality candidates has led to the continued strength of New Trier High School and its Board.
