The Northfield Fire Department has taken delivery of a new complement of extrication equipment. This is a major upgrade for our department, our first battery powered extrication tools. This equipment will service the residents and visitors of the City of Northfield for many years. We would like to thank our mayor and city council for supporting us with this purchase.

This morning, volunteer, career, and auxiliary members gathered at Northfield Veterans Park for the annual Memorial Day service.
Memorial Day is not just a day for parties, barbecues, and the unofficial start of summer. It is a solemn reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by the men and women of our military throughout the 250 years of our nation’s existence.
Today, we remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country so that we may continue to enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten.
