The Norwich University Cemetery

The Norwich University Cemetery The Norwich University Cemetery page has been established to raise awareness of and build financial support for the ongoing needs of this special place.

Founded in 1988, the Norwich University Cemetery was made possible through a gift from the estate of Doris Conway, widow of John A. (Jack) Conway '28, a tank battalion commander in the Pacific Theater during WWII. Later in life, John would serve as Alumni Director at Norwich University. The Norwich University Cemetery stands on what is also known as Dole Hill. Over the years, Dole Hill has become

a special place for Norwich alums as well as cadets and has become a place that represents the Spirit of Old N.U. With its commanding views for the Dog River Valley and the many buildings making up the Norwich University campus, it has grown to be a special place in the hearts and minds of those with a deep abiding love for Norwich, her history and her mission. But, the Norwich University Cemetery receives no money from the university for ongoing maintenance and upkeep. Most alumni are completely unaware of this and that is the reason for this page. The Norwich University Cemetery needs your support.
