Northfield Village Police responded to a swatting call on Cranbrook Dr. We do not take these calls lightly. The investigation is very active and on going. We will bring up the necessary charges for those responsible for causing a great deal of stress to all involved. The Northfield Village Police Department would like to extend our appreciation to the residents who provided information that lead to the apprehension of a male suspect this evening. We’d also like to thank our neighboring agencies for the their assistance as well. There is presently no threat to the community.

Mocha is finally home! Thank you for everyone who shared and reported sightings to Diana.

Update Sunday AM: Mocha has been spotted by her owners and she is staying in the same area. If anyone has a dog trap they can borrow, please reach out to Diana at 234-380-0876.

Update Sat AM: Mocha is unfortunately still missing. Her owner, Diana, would appreciate any sightings sent directly to her and to not approach Mocha if you see her. Her phone number is 234-380-0876. There was a Bernese Mountain dog found in Portage yesterday, but that was not Mocha.

Edit: Mocha was sighted by her owner but she unfortunately ran away. The owner has been in touch with a pet recovery service to help reunite her. We appreciate everyone reporting the sightings and don't recommend chasing or calling after her.

LOST DOG, Northfield! We are reaching out with a request that is close to our hearts. One of our client's has recently lost their beloved dog, Mocha, and we are hoping you can help us spread the word. Mocha, went missing today at 11 am near Pitluk Preserve off Houghton Road here in Northfield. Mocha is a 3 year old Bernese Mountain Dog. If you happen to spot her or have any information that could help, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will pass along the information to the owner. If you know anyone who might live in or around the Northfield area, please forward this message to them. The more people we can reach, the better chance we have of bringing Mocha home.
