This week, we’re shining the spotlight on two amazing members of our Northport Intermediate family—Mrs. Halper and Ms. Williams! 🐾

These outstanding 6th Grade Science teachers bring more than 17 years of combined experience to the classroom and have a passion for making science exciting, meaningful, and engaging for their students. They love sharing their enthusiasm for science and inspiring students to ask questions, explore, and discover! 🌎🧪🔍

Thank you, Mrs. Halper and Ms. Williams, for the knowledge, energy, and heart you bring to NIS every day! We are so lucky to have you as part of our Wildcat family! 💙🤍

We are looking for applicants for TCSS U! This ia an AMAZING program for parents and community members who are very interested in education and schools. The program gives a better understanding of issues facing our schools and how to become an advocate for schools and students in our community.

We’re excited to welcome our NIS families into the building for Open House! We can’t wait for you to see where your students spend their days and meet the teachers who work with them each day.

5th Grade Open House
Tuesday, September 15
5:30–6:30 PM

6th Grade Open House
Thursday, September 17
5:30–7:00 PM

During Open House, parents will follow their student’s schedule, visiting each class and meeting their teachers. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your child’s classes, teachers, and daily experience at NIS.

We look forward to seeing our families and showing you what makes Northport Intermediate School such a special place to learn!

Proofs of Residency Due FRIDAY! Every family is required to provide updated proofs of residence each year. Even if you uploaded proofs on Finalsite, please send the following items with your student to their homeroom by Friday Aug. 21st
-A copy of mortgage of lease
-2 utility bills (power, gas, or water)
If you have any questions, please call the school office.

The TCHS Cheerleaders will host a Glow Dance on Thursday, August 27. The dance will take place during school hours.

🎟️ Admission: $5
Tickets will be sold in homeroom Monday, August 24 through Wednesday, August 26.

🍕 Concessions:
Pizza will be available for $3 per slice, and drinks will also be available for purchase.

We’re looking forward to a fun afternoon and appreciate the TCHS Cheerleaders for hosting this event for our students! 💙🤍
