Our next "From Grief to New Hope" 8-Week Workshop will be on Mondays, September 14 - November 2, 2026, from 6:45-8:30pm, offered in-person at Ward Church and virtually. The registration deadline is Monday, September 7th. If you have experienced the death of a loved one, please join us for our workshop, which combines the educational components of a seminar with the safety and support of a peer group. This workshop is for adults who are grieving the death of a loved one, regardless of how long it has been since the loss occurred. This workshop is a safe place to express your grief and begin the healing process. Each session includes a speaker presentation for all and a smaller group discussion time. These small groups are guided by facilitators who have also experienced similar losses and have traveled their own grief journey. This workshop is free, but registration is required.

New Hope recently had the opportunity to attend the 29th Annual Symposium on Children’s Grief hosted by NACG National Alliance for Children's Grief in San Antonio, Texas. Alongside nearly 600 professionals dedicated to supporting bereaved children and families, we spent several days learning, connecting, and sharing ideas with colleagues from across the country.

We were also honored to present two sessions: Show, Don’t Just Tell: Creative Strategies to Demonstrate Impact in Grief Organizations and Principles of Fund Development for Grief Organizations.

We returned home feeling inspired, encouraged, and energized by the incredible work happening throughout the grief support community. Thank you to the National Alliance for Children’s Grief for creating a space where professionals can learn from one another, strengthen their skills, and continue finding new ways to support children and families navigating grief. 💙

It can be difficult to navigate life after the loss of a loved one, but you don't have to do it alone. We would like to invite you to join us on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 6:00-8:30pm, at Plymouth First United Methodist Church (45201 N. Territorial Road, Plymouth, MI 48170), for our "Beginning the Grief Journey" Seminar. This free grief seminar provides an understanding of the basics of the grief journey and is a great first step for those grieving the loss of a loved one. It covers various topics to help participants understand their grief and gives practical tools to help navigate the challenges they face after a loss. This seminar is for adults and is offered in person and virtually.
