Mixed feelings. Excitement over the new school, see all the packed boxes? But also sad, because today I put up my final display in the Olney Library. There's been a lot of laughter and adventure shared within these walls. Hoping our new area will be just as full of characters!

Our tour of the states is over for the year. Our last state was Hawaii. This week we played a state trivia game and had a snack to celebrate getting back "home" safely. Next year we'll be hitting the road again and checking out some more of our wonderful country.

We have had a great time learning about the state of Nebraska. Ask your student if they enjoyed their sample of Spam and why we had that during our travels to Nebraska.

We visit our last state next week. The state of Hawaii. We'll be there two weeks. Then our journey is over.

It's a new year and we are heading out west. We will talk about how hard the journey going west was and visit some states including, Texas, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska and Arizona. After that, it's on to Hawaii.

We've had a great time these past two weeks learning about the state of New York, with a focus on New York City. Next week we will be having a New Year's Eve celebration.

When we come back in January, we will be heading out west to read about states like Texas and Arizona.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and remember to keep reading!
