Here comes our next grant cycle! Get ready to apply!

The Norton Cultural Council (NCC) supports the arts and sciences in Norton in part by funding grants to individuals and organizations. Grant amounts typically range from $250 to $1,000. The application period is from September 1 to October 15. We’ll announce our funding decisions in January, 2027.

This year we’ve helped make a wide range of enchanting, enlightening programs possible – everything from award-winning live theater, chamber music and crafts programs, to fossil discoveries, Norton Historical Society lectures and hip hop and line dancing for seniors.

A crowd of music lovers came to the Norton Public Library on August 20 to listen to the sounds of the NoteAble Blend women’s chorus. The group sings “a cappella” in four-part harmony,
blending classic barbershop style songs with contemporary favorites. The performance was made possible in part by a grant from the Norton Cultural Council.

The acrobatic duo Small But Mighty will fly through the air and light up the Norton Public Library Park (adjacent to the library), from 11 am to noon, July 14, when they perform their “Mini Big Top” circus show.

Get ready for splits, flips, dance combos and more. The duo, Elizabeth and Laura, have performed at events throughout Massachusetts. The focus of the family-oriented show is the magic of reading and the importance of being active. The two begin the event by delivering circus-themed book recommendations. After the show, they teach audience members some beginner’s circus skills.

The performance is sponsored in part by the Norton Cultural Council.
