For general questions, please call 330-825-3086. The Norton Fire Division was formed in 1943 and started answering calls in November of 1945. We have grown from a volunteer department, into a combination full-time/part-time department to meet the demands of the community. We protect 24.5 square miles with a population of 12,050 residents.

This training helps our team members handle situations involving individuals in crisis due to mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or intellectual and developmental disabilities.

🚒 What a great day at the Touch-A-Truck event down at Columbia Woods Park this past weekend! 🚑🚓

Thankfully, the rain held off long enough for us to enjoy the day and see so many familiar faces. We loved meeting everyone and sharing a little fun with our community!

Shout out a big THANK YOU to Ofc. Bauer (Norton Police Department ) for organizing this fun-filled day and to all of the local departments and businesses who joined us!

We’re always here to help, but it’s important to know that the station’s direct phone line is not a 911 dispatch center and is not monitored 24/7.

Our crews may be out responding to calls, training, refueling trucks, checking equipment, or serving our community — meaning the station phone may not be answered right away.

❤️ Your safety is our priority. When you have an emergency, every second matters.

So, we ask for all immediate first responder assistance, please contact the Southwest Summit Communications (SWSCOM) Dispatch Center. Our highly skilled dispatchers can immediately alert our crews, pinpoint your location, and get the right help to you as quickly as possible.

When someone is trapped, scared, or unable to escape, every second matters. That’s why our firefighters continuously train for the most challenging situations they could face.

This week, we had the opportunity to use the Mobile Search & Rescue Training Lab from the Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office. The trailer is designed with dark, confined spaces, tight passageways, and realistic obstacles that challenge firefighters to think quickly, stay calm, and work efficiently under pressure.

We hope you never need us in these situations—but if you do, we’ll be ready.
