You’re invited to join Team Wells on Thursday, August 27 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM for a campaign rally at Heritage Hall in Milton!

With Primary Day quickly approaching, we hope you’ll join friends, neighbors, and supporters from across Milton and Randolph for an evening of BBQ, music, and good conversation as we continue building momentum toward September 1.

The event will be held outside in the backyard area at Heritage Hall, 114 Granite Avenue in Milton. We hope to see a great crowd as we head into the final days of the campaign.

We’re grateful to everyone who has supported the campaign, volunteered, displayed a sign, spread the word, and stood with Richard throughout this race. We hope to see you on August 27!

Suspect in Possession of 124 Forged Debit Cards Arrested in Brighton

At about 12:15 PM on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, officers assigned to District D-14 (Brighton) conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of Nicusor Lazar in the area of Harvard Avenue and Brainerd Road in Brighton.

While on patrol, officers observed a motor vehicle proceed through the intersection at Harvard Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue, failing to stop at the red light. Officers activated their emergency equipment and initiated a traffic stop in the area of Harvard Avenue and Brainerd Road.

As officers approached the vehicle, they immediately recognized the operator as an individual who detectives were seeking to identify in relation to an ongoing ATM card fraud investigation. Officers approached the vehicle and the operator provided an Italian driver’s license and a bank card with the same name. As officers were speaking with the operator, they observed a large stack of US currency bundled together in the center console as well as numerous credit/ debit cards in the cup holder.

The operator, who did not possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle within the United States, was removed from the motor vehicle and taken into custody.

Following an investigation by the District D-14 (Brighton) Detectives, officers recovered one hundred and twenty-four forged ATM/ debit cards and an undisclosed amount of US Currency. Investigators also discovered the two forms of identification the suspect provided, an Italian driver’s license and bank card, were also determined to be fraudulent.

Officers arrested Nicusor Lazar, 27-years-old. Lazar is expected to be arraigned in Brighton District Court on charges of Money Laundering, two counts of Uttering, Identity Fraud, Forgery of an RMV Document, and Furnishing a False ID to Law Enforcement.

The Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police is proud to announce its endorsements of candidates for state legislative and district attorney offices across the Commonwealth in the 2026 election.

Representing more than 3,200 members throughout Massachusetts, the Massachusetts FOP takes its
endorsement process seriously. Candidates seeking the organization’s support were evaluated based on submitted materials and responses, their record of support for law enforcement, professional and
personal interactions with members of the law enforcement community, character and ethics, and their willingness to engage with FOP members on issues affecting the profession and the well-being of those who serve.

The Massachusetts FOP Board of Directors voted unanimously in support of these endorsements, with the membership concurring with the Board’s action.

“Our endorsement is not something we give lightly,” said the Director of Governmental Affairs, Frank Frederickson.
“We look closely at each candidate’s record, character, relationship with law
enforcement, and willingness to listen to the men and women doing this job. These candidates
have earned the support of our organization, and we are proud to stand with them in the 2026
election.”
