Training is the road to knowledge

The Bristol North dive team was on the Norton Reservoir today training. This team consists of dedicated firefighters from several area departments, including 5 Norton Fire Department members. This team has monthly dive drills at various lakes and ponds in the area to be prepared in case they are needed. This is a great example of collaboration among several departments so they can have a larger team with more resources. This, in turn, serves all of their communities effectively and efficiently.

A lot of memories on that plaque

The Norton Fire Department would like to thank the Briand family for their donation of this plaque memorializing fallen firefighters who worked for the Norton Fire Department over the years. Dawn and her husband, Scott, made this plaque by hand. Captain Al Briand, who was a member of the department for decades, passed away in 2011 from line-of-duty cancer. This plaque keeps his memory and the memories of others with us every day.
