NOW HIRING – REFUSE I

The City of Norton is accepting applications for a Refuse I position.

This position performs heavy and semi-skilled labor in the collection of garbage and refuse along assigned routes. Duties also include driving a packer-type refuse truck on a rotating basis.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Applications may be picked up at the City Office, 301 E. Washington Street, or can be found on the City of Norton website at www.cityofnorton.com/DocumentCenter/View/466/The-Employment-Application.

The public is invited to attend a Town Hall Meeting regarding the proposed 0.5% sales tax for 10 years to fund critical street and infrastructure repairs and improvements.

🚛 City of Norton Trash Collection Reminder 🗑️

Please remember that all residential trash collection routes within the City of Norton are serviced from the street and not from the alleys.

Items located near an alley are not considered part of the city's trash collection route and should not be assumed to be discarded or available to take. In most cases, these items remain the property of the resident.

Please be respectful of private property and avoid removing items from alleys unless you have received permission from the property owner.
