You might notice a rusty-brown, orange, or light-yellow tint in your water right now, but don't worry—this is completely harmless and poses no health or safety risks. It simply happens because the flushing stirs up natural iron sediment in the pipes. The water typically clears up on its own within 4 to 6 hours.
