The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a * Tornado Warning for... Southern Huron County in north central Ohio... Northwestern Richland County in north central Ohio... Northwestern Ashland County in north central Ohio... Northeastern Crawford County in north central Ohio... * Until 1245 AM EDT. * At 1214 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near New Washington, or 16 miles northeast of Bucyrus, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This dangerous storm will be near... Willard and Plymouth around 1220 AM EDT. New London around 1230 AM EDT. Savannah around 1235 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include North Fairfield, Greenwich, and Bailey Lakes.

INSTRUCTIONS: TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

At 1149 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Chatfield, or 9 miles north of Bucyrus, moving east at 45 mph.

(6/17 @ 8:30am) Severe weather remains possible this evening through the overnight hours. An isolated strong to severe storm cannot be ruled out this afternoon. However, the greatest threat for severe weather arrives tonight. All hazards are possible, including large hail, damaging winds, tornadoes, and flash flooding.

(6/16 @ 9:30am) Heads up! Multiple rounds of thunderstorms are possible tomorrow evening and into the overnight hours. Some storms could be strong to severe, and periods of heavy rainfall may lead to localized flooding, especially in low-lying or poor drainage areas. Please see the attached graphics for additional information. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts, and make sure you have multiple reliable ways to receive any watches or warnings that may be issued tomorrow evening or overnight.

Strong to severe storms are possible across the eastern half of the area this afternoon into early this evening. There is a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) of severe weather along and east of I-75 with a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) across north central Ohio into northwest Pennsylvania. Damaging winds will be the main hazard, but tornadoes cannot be ruled out in the Slight Risk area. Locally heavy rain is possible in storms.
