Huron County Republican Party names 2026 LeadershipTeam.
Members of the Huron County Republican Party met Thursday May 21, 2026 at the Milestone Event Center to take care of important business of electing new leadership for the Central and Executive Committees.Attendance was taken and there were enough present for a quorum for each Committee. Full minutes were taken, but this article just highlights a few things that were addressed.The Huron County Republican Central Committee re-elected Brandon Schwinn Chairman, with Sven Stahl as First Vice Chairman and Ken Tkach as Second Vice Chairman; Joe White will serve as Treasurer and Mary Lamb will continue to serve as Secretary. A couple new Central Committee members stepped up and took seats. One goal of our Party is to fill as many Central Committee vacancies that are open as soon as possible to have strong representation moving forward.The Huron County Republican Party Executive Committee re-elected David Sell Chairman, with Clerk of Courts Gina Hartman as First Vice Chairman and State Representative Kellie Deeter as Second Vice Chairman; Tom Gerrity will continue to serve as Treasurer and County Recorder Jan Tkach will continue to serve as Secretary. Sub-committees were established and filled for Bylaws, Candidate Search, Events and Fundraising, Parades, Youth Outreach and Central Committee Search group. The Republican Party invites all who are able to join us at a First Friday lunch meeting at noon on Friday June 5, 2026 at Cuisine Margaritas Factory in Norwalk in the plaza in front of WalMart. All lunches are purchased on your own. Our next Party meeting is planned for Thursday June 18, 2026 at the Milestone unless otherwise stated. All are welcome to attend.
