Description: Meet Ziven. Ziven is a male non neutered brown and white boxer mix breed. He does well with people but can be shy at first. He has been getting a long with the shelter dogs but we always recommend a dog to dog meet and greet before adoption if you have other dogs at home. We do not know how he is with cats. Ziven knows how to sit, shake and lay down for treats. He is energetic and would benefit in a home where he has a yard to play in. He loves to SMILE! He is a happy dog! Stop by to meet Ziven soon. He will be waiting to meet you!

Adoption Information: Ziven is up for adoption on May 31st, 2026. His adoption fee is $67.75 (check or cash only) and his 2026 dog tag is included in the adoption price. His adoption is based on adoption applications that is made through our shelter in person. Applications cost $0.00 to fill out and roughly takes 10 minuets to complete. Shelter Location: 130 Shady Lane Building E in Norwalk OH

Adoption Information Cont: You must be 18 years or older to adopt from the Huron Co. Dog Warden's Shelter please bring a current ID. If you have other dogs at home, they must have a current 2026 dog tag in order to adopt from the shelter. If you have other dogs at home, you must do a dog to dog meet and greet with your at home dogs and the dog of interest to make sure they will get along. You can do dog to dog meet and greets at time of adoption. Any other questions please contact us at 419.668.9773 thank you!

Additional Notes: All dogs who enter the Huron Co. Dog Warden's Shelter are STRAY DOGS! We do not know much about these dogs. The only thing we know about the dogs are how they act towards us while caring for the dog. We do NOT know how the dog will react in a new environment.

Vet Records: We do not know the dogs past vet records. We do not know if the dog is up to date on shots or if the dog is spayed/neutered unless it is obvious the dog is. We do not know if the dog has a current health issue or past health issues unless it is obvious. We also do not flea treat or de worm the dogs before they leave the shelter. This will be the new owners responsibility to treat the dog if they wish to.

House Training: We have NEVER seen these dogs in a home environment. With that said we do not know if the dog is house broken or not. We do not know if the dog is potty trained or not either. Any damages to a home that may be caused by a dog who is adopted from our shelter does not hold us reliable for the damages. This is something to think about before adoption a stray dog. These dogs are stray dogs we do not know how they react in a home environment.

Dog to Dog meet and greets: THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! All dogs in a household need to be able to get along with each other. The stray dogs in our shelter may get along with the other shelter dogs but does not mean they will get along with your personal owned dog. Just because your personal owned dog gets along with other dogs does not mean your dog will get along with the shelter dog of choice. It is very important that all dogs get along before adopting a new dog! If you fail to do a dog to dog meet and greet and you get the new dog home and the dogs end up not getting along it will be YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to re home the dog since you failed to do a dog to dog meet and greet. (you may do this with cats as well)

What we do know: All dogs deserve a good forever home with lots of love and attention. If you can open your home to a shelter dog please do! Shelter dogs make great family additions! If you can't open your home up for a shelter dog please share their information to help us increase their chances of finding their forever home ❤

Description: Meet Duck Tape or DT for short! DT is a male non neutered gray mix breed. He is being guessed around 1 year in age and around 60ish pounds. DT does well with the staff and other people that he meets. He has been around the shelter dogs and has not shown aggression towards the shelter dogs but we always recommend a dog to dog meet and greet before adoption. (If you have other dogs at home) We do not know how he is around cats. DT loves to play fetch and does have high energy. He would do best in an active home. He does well on a leash and with car rides. He also loves McDonald's sausage sandwiches and would love a home who shares that love with him. If this could be with you in your home with your family then stop to meet Duck Tape soon! He will be very excited to meet you!

Adoption Information: Duck Tape is up for adoption on May 20th, 2026. His adoption fee is $67.75 (check or cash only) and his 2026 dog tag is included in the adoption price. His adoption is based on adoption applications that is made through our shelter in person. Applications cost $0.00 to fill out and roughly takes 10 minuets to complete. Depending on the dog’s adoption date you may or may not be able to take the dog home the same day. This is based on the dog’s adoption date and how the application/background check plays out. If you have other dogs at home, please bring them with you during the meet and greet. All dogs must be leashed. If you are applying for a dog and are wanting to take the dog home the same day, please come prepared in case you can take the dog home on the same day. Final paperwork on adoption take roughly 10-15 minuets to complete. No appointment is needed to come and meet/apply for a dog to adopt. Just come in during business hours and we will be happy to help you find the perfect dog for your home!
